  2. Wow, that's pretty disgusting. "Relocate them to their habitat": they do realize that they're talking about people and not animals right? And also, as far as I know, people don't have the right to go around "relocating" people. Isn't that called kidnapping?

  3. Hi Colin, thank you for this. I've tried to respond twice before but somehow I can't post.
Let's see if it works this time.

When I think of the disparity I get down and feel as though it's only going to get worse. Somehow, when people feel threatened the first reaction is to fight back and so on it goes. Also, as we whites are being faced with increased multi-culturalism we will probably start fighting even more.

I don't know how to fix the problem but it sure would be nice. Somehow, I think the round table discussion idea might be good. If there were enough people trained to give unbiased views and if the victim and the perpetrator could get together with a handful of business people, accountants, educators, social workers, etc., then maybe there could be some type of compensation that would allow the minority to rebuild lives that have been harmed and maybe the perpetrators could feel as though they have done some good and get a sense of accomplishment and well being. I know from experience that sometimes it's hardest to forgive yourself, maybe this would make it a little easier. I wonder what would have happened if something like this could have been done in South Africa instead of the amnesty and forgiveness method that just hasn't seemed to work. Colleen
